I found some excellent midge fishing yesterday in Paradise Valley. Lots of rising trout in the afternoon. Rainbows are spawning and native cutthroat will begin to spawn soon. Be careful where you wade so that you don't trample the newly formed redds. And it's best not to target actively spawning fish so they can keep our rivers and streams full of the next generation of wild trout. Get out there while you can: Run-off will be here soon and then the long wait for fishable water begins.
